The typical classical homeopathic interview includes lots of questions about your general characteristics, your health history, your likes and dislikes, what makes your symptoms or problems better or worse, your favorite foods, and inquiries into your lifestyle and relationships. Basically, we gather a wide range of bits and pieces of information about you. The homeopath uses this information like assembling a puzzle to complete a picture piece by piece. We may gather this type of information from an intake form or at the end of the session.

The new sensation method begins at a point and expands out, much like a word association. Just to get to know you, I listen while you let everything spill out from that one point, which you consider your main concern. When it gets quiet, I then help you move to an area that will open up the doorway to the sensations you feel. Although we may touch upon some emotional issues momentarily, the important words come from a higher source. Because the free flow of energy fills the room, we meld minds and hopefully awaken to a gestalt - a whole that explains all the words and sensations. Many call this the 'ah-ha' experience, explaining how you have filtered your environment and your world view. What a pleasant surprise!
